My new A.I. short is a Godzilla monster movie. Made entirely HailuoAI MiniMax. I already got a question about which live action film I borrowed the clips from in the last scene, no this is 100 % A.I., every bit of sound, music, and visuals. While the space is getting drastically better, I am really eager for character and environment consistency on the video workflow. I can get it with stills which is how DreadClub was possible; what I suspect is they are aiming to lock down the hard part first and achieve parity with live action. But as soon as you can lay down a blueprint, decorate it, and place characters in a fixed environment, the fun begins.

DreadClub: Vampire's Verdict will be screening at the Burano Artificial Intelligence Film Festival in Venice in early October. I'm doing the Italian subtitles myself using AI. This is the movie's second film festival, both in Venice. So excited that my work will be seen in such a great place. Italians have always understood my work from the start, the balance of masculinity and artistic sensitivity, the women ensembles, Italians and the Greeks are my artistic cousins.

I hated the Beetlejuice sequel, so I made my own using HailuoAI. I think the sequel fundamentally misunderstands that the series is about Lydia // Beetlejuice first, not the peripheral characters. This is something the cartoons nailed. I also think the film missed some of the satire of the original, that I put back in by making Lydia a big wig city hot shot who turned her back on her rebellious past.

I felt the new film was lacking any kind of story hook, so I wanted to show what a sequel might have looked like with more of a plot. I was also inspired by Drop Dead Fred and Robot Chicken.

This trailer is pushed forward as fair use parody but it is also as commentary; to criticize a film, make a film. We are not far from fan films released at the same time that surpass the studio counterpart.

Superhero test #2 ... this is both huoai (China's new algorithm) augmented with Luma Dream Machine. Really excited to start my new film soon with this new set of tools being dropped on us. After only 5 weeks out since DreadClub: Vampire's Verdict, a film I did the old school way entirely with a still image workflow, now you can do so much more in one single prompt. Though "Dread" stands entirely alone at the first in its category of animated AI films, now everyone can go in and build on it and show us how it's done. Meanwhile what we are getting now is more akin to the 2023 AI workflow, with fully fledged baked-in visuals coming out of prompts, just at a WAY higher level. What this also means is that AI films are about to get way more palatable for the general public. It also means that you will be able to make feature length films about five times faster. I am amazed and excited at what is in front of us. Filmmaking has only been available to the rich and connected for its entire history--the universe wants new voices, and has made it happen by force. Now everything is going to change.

Officially announcing my next feature, "My Boyfriend is a Superhero!?" a superhero romantic comedy. This will be an AI CG-Pixar style movie. Pre-production tests have been incredible, and the story is really funny and action-packed.

"When a billionaire's secretary discovers her boss is secretly a vigilante superhero, she's drawn into a love triangle with him and his devoted assistant, risking everything as she navigates a world of wealth, power, and dangerous double lives."

We live in a time you can snap your finger and greenlight your next film.

Superhero is going to be a massive undertaking as it is a solo-made venture, this will be the big one for me, and my aim is a commercial ready feature that can play in cinemas for a budget under four figures.

It is my continued privilege to legitimize the space of AI films. Like both "DreadClub: Vampire's Verdict" and "Window Seat", I have found when tackling the impossible, solutions continually materialize.

DreadClub will be at the AI Film Awards in Venice

DreadClub will be at the AI Film Awards in Venice Italy next week running in parallel with VIFF at Sabia Venice Beach Club. This is our film's second festival acceptance. The event will have some very important figures in AI including OpenAI, with several important judges. This is legit as can be. I am thrilled to play this space. Thank you guys for getting it. The old system cannot go on. It is dark ages or AI.

Proof is in, and it looks great. The dream is materializing. Kids who are growing up without that celebrity surname, who see their skin color is different, who see their parents aren't well-off, now because of AI they can make films that compete with the fat-cats. By legitimizing AI we make a better world, simple as that, no argument I have heard can stand against this as it is ironclad.

Some good news, all three of my features, Aimy in a Cage, Window Seat, and DreadClub: Vampire's Verdict will be available on Blu-Ray in September, look for them on Amazon in the coming weeks. Here are the cover arts I designed as I await the proofs in the mail.

I will sign the first 100 copies of each with a nice silver marker. I'm most excited for Window Seat as it's the film I'm most proud of, but I know many have been waiting for a Blu-Ray for Aimy in a Cage for years and years as it has a massive fanbase, they can finally own a copy.

The second RottenTomatoes review for DreadClub, from FilmThreat, gives it 7.5! He thought it started confusing in terms of exposition but he loved the second half of the film. For sure I think when Duchamps shows up that's when it gets real good. Very good review that also defends the stylistic shifts that people are talking about, and he loved Triswald'd character, the vampire family attorney; thanks to FilmThreat for doing so much for indie film. I want to keep upping the ante and have a technically flawless AI film next because gradually it's becoming possible.

The first RottenTomatoes review is in from Martin Carr rating DreadClub a 4/5. So exciting especially a critic of that caliber. It's rough out there but the pro critics I have always found I can rely on to give my films a fair chance.

First test in the CG-Pixar animated style via Runway V3, image animation, based on Midjourney. Just incredible. Floodgates are about to open in a big way. Am glad I could get DC in now; because I think by the time this new one is finished it's going to be landing next to a dozen other features. This level of control is indisputable, it wasn't even possible 24 hours ago.

I finished the "Making of" DreadClub book last nig

I finished the "Making of" DreadClub book last night. 95,000 words! This book is EXTRAORDINARY. It is almost a bigger deal than the movie itself. It might be the most extensive 'making a movie' book for a film ever made because it puts you right in the trenches from the very start to the very finish, the interface between my mind and the supercomputer mind gradually becomes profound. The nonstop hate too. Am extremely happy that this will go out, and it doesn't always make me look good either. There are things in there that are very ugly, but that's true to the artistic process.

I estimated that foreign subtitles would cost between $5,000 to $10,000. And then I realized I can do 2 full languages a day in AI for free. Foreign dubs, I am really tempted to do, in the spirit of the fact no one has done it yet; but it will take weeks and I'd rather move on.

I am not oblivious that AI automation is also going to make my own AI workflow obsolete over and over again until an entire film can be made in a single day.

I was very aware of that. But I gave this my all, 100 %. We should not overthink it. When that happens maybe I'll be over there making five films a week.

Meanwhile I have several RottenTomatoes critics evaluating the movie right now so we will see where they land.
